Day 5 of my 30 Days of Truth is about something that I hope to do in my life.
Clearly there are many things that I hope to do. Like most people I hope to watch my children grow into productive, compassionate adults, graduate school, make a difference in the world, and see my marriage last forever. Those are the givens but one thing that I have secretly always wanted to do is write a book. Go ahead and laugh, it sounds silly right? But really, I have always wanted to write a book about my childhood. I often felt and wished when I was younger that I had a book about someone else that has gone through similar situations. I thought how wonderful it would be if I could open a book and find some comfort in someone else's story that have gone through a similar childhood think that eventually I will start this, it may take years to finish but I am going to do it.

Day 2-Something I love about myself
Day 2 Something I love about myself
Today on my second day of 30 Days of Truth the question today is to list something that you love about yourself.
What I love about myself is my ability to juggle so many things at once. Between taking 21 credit in school, having two small children, a dog and a husband that often works 60 plus hours I often feel overwhelmed but one thing is for sure I can handle it. I do the house work, the yard work when its needed and my husband is working too much to have the time. I spend a lot of quality time with my kids, we read, learn about the alphabet, go play outside and much more. I feel like everything I do is equivalent to three full time jobs. I am the last to go to bed either because of housework or homework. Most nights I have a hot dinner ready for my husband when he gets home from work, this is not expected by him but something I do because I know that he appreciates a hot meal after working all day. who wouldn't? This life might seem like a nightmare to some people but I love it. I know that this will all pay off in the end and learning to juggle many things at once will only help me in life. I am proud of myself for being able to do it all. People tell me all the time that they don't know how I do it, I guess I should take that as a compliment. Plus I have the greatest best friend Lindsi at the Rustic Wolf You should check her blog out!

Day 1-Something I hate about myself
So for day 1 of my 30 Days of Truth I will answer the following question.
Something I hate about myself?
Wow, what a way to start! Okay there are a few things that I really dislike about myself but I will just list the first one that comes to mind.
1. I do not let many people in I keep my feelings to myself even when I know deep down that reaching out to someone will help me. I suffer in silence because like most people, I fear being judged. I do not trust very many people, I feel like no matter who they are eventually they will hurt you. I think I learned this lesson through being abandoned by my birth mother. Sadly so many years later I am still letting it affect my life. I was told in church today that confessing your sins to God brings forgiveness but confessing your sins to other people brings healing. This must be true because even after I confess my sins to God I still feel like there is weight on my shoulders. But I feel like if I confess my sins to other people they will judge me or even worse leave me. This is something that I am going to start working on. Opening up to people and trusting that they will love and support me even when I make mistakes. I am going to try and trust them they they will not gossip about me or spread rumors. I am going to trust that they will love me even when I seem unlovable. My plan for this is to join a small group at the new church I am going to and find people that I can confide in and feel okay with who I am. I hope it works out! Now if that wasn't exposing myself I don't know what is ha ha!
